Produced by China Plate | Commissioned by mac and Warwick Arts Centre
The first First Bite Festival took place @ AE Harris, Stan's Cafe's space, on November 12th 2009.
The First Bite Festival is an evening of exciting, eclectic, extracts and ideas from some of the regions most daring theatre makers.
This is your chance to help mould new work as it develops.
Thanks to all of you who came along to support the work, we had an immense amount of feedback which we have passed on to the artists.
All of the work will be shaped by your responses, in addition to which two of the pieces have been commissioned by China Plate, mac and Warwick Arts Centre. These are:
Al Bowlly's Croon Manifesto by Untied Artists: A new take on the bio-play format exploring the life of the legendary 1930s crooner Al Bowly and the genesis of what we now know as pop stardom.
AND...
You're not like the other girls Chrissy by Caroline Horton in association with Tangram: Love, war and a journey to Staffordshire from Paris, built from the memories of the actress's 90 year old French grandmother.
Come along to The Bite Size Festival and see how these pieces have developed at Warwick Arts Centre on March 6th 2010.
Come and tell us, and them, what you think...
